Blog 1: The Start
Having published scholarly books and articles, having lectured to large audiences and intimate groups, having hosted some podcasts and been a guest on various podcasts, and appearing multiple times on different public media platforms on international and local outlets, I must admit starting a blog is rather an intimidating task. It’s definitely not because I’m shy but I think part of it is that writing about one’s thoughts is very different from speaking about a certain historical event or opining on current events informed by history.
So, like all other first time efforts, mistakes will be made. Just needed to say that to you and myself. I hope what I won’t do is to censor myself. That’s the goal but you know in a real world we always censor ourselves but maybe there will be clever ways to say things without risking too much.
Therefore, I’m happy to be here and I hope you and others find my future blogs informative if not entertaining.
